Qualified Preservation Professionals

Federal and state preservation laws recommend that qualified preservation professionals be involved to insure that the historic integrity of a site is fully protected from potential damage or destruction.

In addition, federal and state preservation laws require the use of qualified preservation professionals for financial incentives and in the case of government funding, such as disaster relief.

It is strongly recommend that National Historic Landmark communities, such as the Village Green, engage both a qualified preservation architect and also a preservation landscape architect.

These professionals are necessary in meeting federal requirements for maintaining the Landmark's high historic integrity and passing periodic mandated inspections. Also, the involvement of these professionals are important to qualify for financial incentives.
